Prof.dr. Wim Schreurs has a long track record on research in the field of hip arthroplasty. He co-developed the femoral bone impaction grafting technique for hip revisions, he was involved in many biomechanical and in vivo studies focussing on regarding bone reconstructions with impaction bone grafting. He is an international well known surgeon focussing on hip implantations in young patients with hip disease under the age of 50 years. His other clinical interest is hip revision surgery. From 1-1-2019 on he is appointed as Professor on behalf of the Dutch Arthroplasty Registry (LROI) and Radboud university medical centre, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
